Moving Data Online

...how to best achieve success in Data Migration

In the years before the Internet became all pervasive in our lives, many organisations created data storage systems that were PC (offline) based.

Whilst the solutions worked in the web 1.0 world, now that much of our communication is based on online distributed technologies, these older systems, often built using desktop software such as Access, ACT or Filemaker are not as easy to manipulate.

Suddenly they seem slow and cumbersome, a hindrance to swift communication, customer relationship management, and in some cases, can also affect your bottom line.

The answer to these problems seems to be to move these systems from off-line to on-line systems, that allow them to be more accessible and achieve a greater level of flexibility, but how can you ensure that they remain secure and the data stored within them remains protected from potential loss or even worse attack?
